Over Labor Day weekend we headed out to Shreveport, LA to visit our good friends, the VanEaton's. Robbie and Susaan use to live across the street from us, but they moved over the summer because of a wonderful job opportunity. We were so sad to see them go, so we had to go visit them and see their new home. It was very beautiful in Shreveport, a lot of tall green trees and very pretty Southern homes. I have to say, it was pretty humid there, so we were sweating more than usual. While we were in town we visited Kid's City which is part of the kid's school/church. It was so neat and a wonderful place for kids! We also went to the Riverwalk and had a nice dinner. We spent lots of time at their beautiful house with their kids Courtney, Dylan and Trevor. Colton had so much fun with his favorite babysitter (Courtney) and running around in all of the green grass. Somehow we planned our trip just right.....we left Phoenix on Thursday (8/28) a couple of hours before the airport shut down due to a big monsoon storm. We left Shreveport just hours before hurricane Gustav hit town! Thankfully the VanEaton's only experienced high winds and lots of rain, but no major damage from the storm. We had such a great time visiting Shreveport and we miss our old neighbors very much!!!

This video is when Colton and Courtney were playing one night and he was having so much fun!!!
