Christmas 2008

Christmas was so much fun this year! We had a lot of parties and events leading up to Christmas that were a lot of fun. The gingerbread contest, an ornament exchange, visit from Santa at the Merrill Lynch party, girls night, going to see The Spirit of Christmas, a cookie exchange, Zoo Lights, and much more! On Christmas Eve we went to an early church service, then over to Mike's parents house for a celebration with his family. We also learned that Mike's sister Jennifer got engaged that day! Jennifer and Eric plan to get married sometime in the fall of 2009. Mike's cousin John Paul brought down a truck full of snow, so Colton had his first experience of a snow ball fight. Christmas morning Mike, Colton and I opened presents together. Colton was not too interested in actually unwrapping the gifts, but he loved each new toy! After presents at our house, we went to my parents house and had breakfast before opening presents with my brother Jeremy, his wife and two girls, my parents and grandma. The kids had a wonderful time playing with each other's new toys. Finally we headed home for Colton's naptime. Later in the afternoon we had everyone over to our house for dinner. Mike's parents, my parents, both of my brothers and their families. It was a wonderful Christmas and we feel so blessed to have many wonderful friends and family. 2008 was an exciting year and I just can't wait to see what 2009 has in store for us. Happy New Year!!!

Gingerbread Houses!!!!

Our neighbor's, Mike and Jen, host a gingerbread competition and party each year. It is such a fun event and the houses are so amazing. I think some of my neighbors are professional!!! This year there was a kids only division and a family division. Check out these houses....ours is not so good!!!This is our sad beach house!
Best overall design winner! Most candy award Most creative design award another fun house

SANTA

Colton is not s big fan of Santa this year. Santa came to the Merrill Lynch Christmas party and delivered gifts to all of the kids. Colton liked the gift, but did not want to sit on his lap. Maybe next year????
We still had fun at the party and Colton loved the cream puffs!!!

Children's Museum

So, I am a little behind on posting because my computer got a virus! Back in November Bridgot and I took the boys to The Children's Museum of Phoenix. It is such a great place for kids of all ages! There are so many great interactive exhibit, actually everything is interactive... a restuarnt, kitchen, grocery store, ball room, noodle forest, car racing, a room for kids under 3, play area, car wash and so much more! There are also art projects for the older kids. Jackson and Colton had a wonderful time exploring!

Mr. & Mrs. Bobby Boucher

Congratulations to my good friends Jordan and Bobby!! They got married in a beautiful ceremony at the Historical First Presbyterian Church of Phoenix last Saturday. We had a wonderful time celebrating their special day! The reception was at The Waterfront in Tempe where we had dinner and lots of dancing!Ok....so their real last name is Myers, but forever I will think of them as Mr. and Mrs. Boucher! When we ask Jordan what her new last name was going to be, Jordan told us all that it would be Boucher. Gena and I have only seen "The Waterboy" once, years ago, so we did not realize that she was kidding. The guys had to clue us in that she was joking! Jordan's nickname for Bobby is "Bobby Boucher". Congratulations again to Jordan and Bobby! I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon!!

California

Mike, Colton and I headed to Southern California for 6 days last week. It was a working vacation for Mike. We visited 5 of his clients and in his off time, we had fun. Our first two days were in San Diego, then we stopped in Sierra Madre on our way up to Santa Barbara. We stayed in Santa Barbara for a few days before stopping in Hollywood and then heading home. It was a lot of driving, but it worked out well with Colton because we were able to bring everything that we needed! We found a couple of great parks to play at and we spent some time on the beach. Here are some pictures from our trip....

Trick or Treat

On Halloween Colton and I went over to Mike's office for some trick-or-treating. Colton had a good time and loved the candy! He even won a costume contest with the kids at the office. Colton ran around outside Halloween night as we sat out with neighbors and passed out candy. Daddy and Colton went to a couple of houses and that was enough for this year. We had a great Halloween and hope you did too!
